"Hunt - Explore - Survive The most realistic prehistoric survival game ever created. Featuring a huge Cretaceous environment populated by horrifying dinosaur all-stars, such as T-Rex, Triceratops, Utahraptor, Velociraptor and Quetzalcoatlus."

theHunter: Primal ($9.99) is a first-person survival dinosaur game, where the player attempts to survive on an island infested by dinosaurs. The premise of the game is to get better weaponry and equipment to hunt larger dinosaurs to gain higher points and climb the leaderboards. While in theory this sounds like a great idea, the execution is less so.

Overall, the game is a mixed bag. While it has acceptable graphics/visuals as well as amazing sounds with an excellent atmosphere, there are certain things that could hold this game back. Questionable design choices as well as lengthy update times combined with doubt in the developers all cumulative to this game seeming abandoned. If the developers decided to resume development it may become an excellent game.
