"Gomez is a 2D creature living in a 2D world. Or is he? When the existence of a mysterious 3rd dimension is revealed to him, Gomez is sent out on a journey that will take him to the very end of time and space. Use your ability to navigate 3D structures from 4 distinct classic 2D perspectives."

Fez ($9.99)

Fez is an indie puzzle-platform video game where the player takes the role of a 2D character named Gomez who receives a fez hat that reveals his two-dimensional world to be one of four sides in a 3D world. The goal of the game is to collect the cubes and shards to restore order to the universe. Fez was originally released on the Xbox live arcade by Polytron Corporation in April 2012, and was rereleased onto steam in 2013.

Overall, fez is unique 2d platformer with it’s interesting 3-D mechanic it provides a strange but fun experience to the game. Along with its trippy soundtrack, cute graphics (Fez is adorable), and sense of discovery. With it’s affordable price, there can be countless hours spent wandering in the 8-Bit world.
